Vegabréf/Passports -sumar/summer 2010
Almennur afgreiðslufrestur vegna útgáfu nýrra íslenskra vegabréfa á Íslandi verður ein vika (auk póstsendingartíma a.m.k. 6 daga) á tímabilinu apríl-ágúst í sumar.
Athugið einnig að númer nýs vegabréfs er ekki vitað fyrr en vegabréfið er tilbúið. Það þýðir t.d. að þeir sem ætla að ferðast til Bandaríkjanna innan 10 sólarhringa þurfa að greiða forgangsgjald til að geta skráð sig með rétt vegabréfanúmer þrem sólarhringum fyrir brottför.
Please note that during this summer, April-August, processing of applications in Iceland for Icelandic Passports will take at least one week plus delivery time (minimum 6 days). Those who intend to travel to the USA within 10 days will have to pay extra for express services.
Annual Easter Bingo
The annual Easter Bingo of the Icelandic Society in London will be held on Sunday 21 March at 14:00 at the Embassy of Iceland. We will be playing for Icelandic chocolate Easter eggs! We will also be selling chocolate Easter eggs and Icelandic sweets. More information will be coming soon.

Scholarship in the UK
The British Embassy is offering a number of Chevening Academic Scholarships for the academic year 2010/2011.
Application forms and further information can be obtained at the Embassy website www.ukiniceland.fco.gov.uk.
The deadline for completed applications is 1 April 2010.
