Put the longest outdoor stop inside the daylight window and work backward through the drive and meal breaks. If a day becomes too tight, remove a detour instead of treating sunset as an inconvenience you can ignore.

For a natural ice-cave trip, ask which cave and departure date are being sold and how the operator handles changing access. Do not treat an advertised season as permission to enter independently. Avoid choosing a hazardous beach as a storm-watching destination.
