Concert at the Ambassador's Residence
On March 18th, Ambassador Albert Jónsson and Mrs. Ása Baldvinsdóttir hosted a concert at the ambassador's residence. Einar Jóhannesson, clarinet, and Martin Berkofsky, piano, played Icelandic music and works by Brahms, Schumann and Alan Hovhaness. The concert, which was attended by about 60 people, was followed by a reception. Admission was $ 30 and the artists donated the proceeds to the Kitezh Children´s Community in Russia, a charity which they have supported previously.
