Iceland - US signs a revised Income Tax Treaty
Iceland and the US signed yesterday a revised Treaty for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income. The Treaty was signed by Árni M. Mathiesen, Iceland´s Minister of Finance and Robert M. Kimmit, Deputy Treasury Secretary, at a ceremony held at the Treasury Department in Washington D.C. The new treaty brings the existing agreement between Iceland and the US into closer conformity with current tax treaty policies of Iceland and the US.
