Ambassador for New Nordic Food
Baldvin Jónsson, Agricultural Attaché at the Embassy of Iceland in Washington D.C., was nominated as the Ambassador of New Nordic Food by the Nordic Council of Ministers. Mr. Jónsson is the director of the Áform project, which focuses on the promotion of Iceland´s sustainable and natural agricultural products. Under the auspices of Áform, Mr. Jónsson has stood for various international events, among them in Washington D.C., where Icelandic food and drink played the major role in the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington annual celebration in 2006.
