Hurricane Rita - Icelanders Notice !
Hurricane Rita, a potentially catastrophic Category 5 hurricane is forecast to hit land near Galveston, Texas, late Friday or early Saturday. The Embassy of Iceland urges Icelandic citizens in the area to follow instructions provided by state and local authorities,and to inform their friends and relatives in Iceland about their whereabouts. Icelandic citizens in the area can also reach the Embassy during business hour at 202-265-2263 and after hours at 202-285-3069.
