Free Trade Agreement and Business Opportunities in Canada
The Trade Council of Iceland (www.utflutningsrad.is/en) hosted a meeting on business opportunities and the new Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Iceland and Canada on Wednesday, September 17th in Iceland.
Hlynur Gudjonsson the Icelandic Trade Commissioner to North America and Ingolfur Gudmundsson from Landsbanki (www.landsbanki.is) discussed the FTA, doing business in Canada and trade with Canada with Icelandic companies that attended the meeting. Icelandic businesses see many opportunities rise with the FTA in both increased and new business in various export industries as well as Icelandic operations in Canada.
