Ragnheiður Gröndal performs in NYC

Ragga Gröndal was born in 1984 and started singing in public in Iceland by the age of 15. She has released four solo albums, one of which was awarded with the Icelandic Music Awards in 2004 and she was also awarded as "Best Female Singer" the same year. Ragnheiður studied in New York for one year at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. She is currently working on her fifth solo album which contains her original compositions and lyrics.
Ragga will have a concert with her brother Haukur Gröndal at the Stone, located in the East Village. They will play Icelandic folk music and original compositions in their own arrangements from the album called Þjóðlög which has been a big success in Iceland.
