Electronic hisses, fizzes, squelching bass and Eleanor Rigby-esque strings and movie soundtracks announce the return of Daníel Ágúst – former lead singer of Icelandic trip hop outfit GusGus with five gold records and an Icelandic number 1 to his name – along with his new bandmate Bix who is a remixer to Madonna, Sigur Ros and Beck – Together they create a rich tapestry of orchestration, eerie bleeps with rousing soulful vocals. A blissful mini symphony with an infectious pop edge. Daníel Ágúst's debut album, “Swallowed a Star” is set to be released in February 2006.
