This delightful musical comedy is a kind of sequel to one of the most beloved Icelandic films of all time: On Top/Med allt a hreinu (1982), also directed by Ágúst Guðmundsson. A band that folded twenty years ago (they were considered old-fashioned even then) decides to stage a comeback. Everything points to a great future--until the ghosts of the past catch up with them in the form of a single mother and a jolly roadie. Directed by one of Iceland’s veteran directors with skill and verve, the film follows the band through not only the magnificent Icelandic landscape, but also though two continents and a brief spell in the otherworld.
