Mother's Day Report Card: The Best and Worst Countries to Be a Mother
Save the Children, a U.S.-based independent global humanitarian organization, released its ninth annual Mothers' Index that ranks the best — and worst — places to be a mother and a child. Iceland tops the list in third place this year, Sweden being in first place and Norway in second and United States is in 27th place

Concert at the Ambassador's Residence
On March 18th, Ambassador Albert Jónsson and Mrs. Ása Baldvinsdóttir hosted a concert at the ambassador's residence. Einar Jóhannesson, clarinet, and Martin Berkofsky, piano, played Icelandic music and works by Brahms, Schumann and Alan Hovhaness.
