About the Delegation

The Delegation of Iceland to NATO was opened in 1952 with the establishment of the North Atlantic Council. In addition to NATO, the Icelandic Delegation represents Iceland vis-à-vis the Western European Union (WEU) and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

Furthermore the Delegation serves as Embassy of Iceland to Afghanistan.
