Embassy
The Embassy of Iceland in Rome was inaugurated on the 1st of August 2005. Guðni Bragason, the ambassador’s representative in Rome, was recognized by the Italian foreign ministry as the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy on the 18th of August.
Tómas Ingi Olrich, the ambassador of Iceland to Italy, residing in Paris, France, presented the president of Italy his letters of credence on the ninth of November 2005.
The secretary of the Embassy is Ms. Federica Frasca and temporary officer is Mr. Jónas Haraldsson.
The Embassy guards Icelandic interests in Italy, whether they regard political, economic, or cultural relations. It can also assist Icelanders in Italy, issue emergency passports as well as drivers licences.
