Welcome to the Permanent Mission of Iceland to the United Nations Agencies in Rome

The Permanent Mission of Iceland in Rome represents Iceland at the three United Nations Agencies in Rome which are the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The aim of these organizations is to ensure the food security in the world.

The Permanent Mission also serves as the Embassy of Iceland to Italy.

28.4.2009 : Closing of the Embassy of Iceland to the Republic of Italy

The office of the Embassy of Iceland to the Republic of Italy will be closed as from 29 April 2009. From that date onward all enquiries regarding Italy-Iceland relations and consular issues shall be addressed to the Embassy of Iceland in Paris or to the Honorary Consuls of Iceland in Italy (Turin, Milan, Venice, Genoa, Rome, Naples, Messina).
 

28.4.2009 : Closing of the Permanent Mission of Iceland to the Food Agencies in Rome as from 29 April 2009

The office of the Permanent Mission of Iceland to the Food Agencies in Rome will be closed as from 29 April 2009. From that date onward all enquiries regarding FAO, WFP and IFAD shall be addressed to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Iceland (www.mfa.is).
