Iceland provides humanitarian assistance to the victims of the conflict in Lebanon
This amount is an addition to Iceland´s earlier contribution of 0,15 million USD made late July. The amount is equally divided between UN´s World Food Program (WFP) and the International Red Cross (ICRC).
According to UN´s information, more than 1000 people have lost their lives in the Lebanon conflict, with more than 3000 wounded. Same estimates state, that there are roughly 900.000 refugees and displaced persons in Lebanon.
