Icelands Minister of Foreign Affairs official visit.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir, is in Denmark on a two day official visit. The minister will meet with Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark and Denmark’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Per Stig Møller. Amongst other issues, they will discuss matters of the North Atlantic, Afghanistan, The Middle-East, the climate, European issues, and Iceland’s canditacy to the UN Security Council.
The minister will also meet with the Folketing’s Foreign Affairs Comittee, The Danish Social Democrat’s leader Mrs. Helle Thorning-Schmidt, and Minister of Education Mr. Bertel Haarder.
At the occation of the official visit, Iceland Chamber of Commers hosts an afternoon meeting on Icelandic economic issues in the light of internationalisation. Mrs. Gísladóttir is honorary guest at the meeting and key note speaker.
