Ambassador Svavar Gestsson presented credentials in Slovenia
Ambassador Svavar Gestsson presented credentials to the Slovenian President Dr. Danilo Türk as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iceland to the Republic of Slovenia. President Türk, elected last year, previously served as Permanent Representative of Slovenia to the United Nations and subsequently as UN Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs. Among other things, the Ambassador and the President discussed matters related to the UN Security Council.
