Iceland’s new Minister for Envronmental Affairs visits the Embassy
Friday, October 29th, the new Minister for Environmental Affairs, Ms. Sigríður Anna Þórðardóttir, honored the Embassy with a short visit. On this occasion the members of the Danish-Icelandic Society (Dansk-Islands Samfund) were invited to the Embassy.
Ms. Þórðardóttir gave a presentation in which she explained Iceland’s envormental policy, including Iceland’s activities on an international level, cooperation regarding implementation of the Kyoto-agreement and the status of the ptarmigan population in Iceland and the debat in Iceland on the merits of ptarmigan hunting.
