The Minister of Finance: "The Icelandic Economy is in good shape"
The Embassy of Iceland in Copenhagen organized a press conference with the Icelandic Minister of Finance, Árni M. Mathiesen, and Director General of the Economic Department of the ministry, Thorsteinn Thorgeirsson, last Wedensday.
The Minister of Finance gave the journalists an overview of the latest developments in the Icelandic Economy and presented his viewpoints about future prospects. Thorsteinn Thorgeirsson presented the latest Economic Forecast for Iceland.
Journalists from all of the main business newspapers and media in Denmark attended the press conference and took part in a lively discussion with the Mr. Mathiesen and Mr. Thorgeirsson after their presentations. The press event was well covered in the Danish business press the day after.
