No less than five Icelandic acts have been confirmed to play the acclaimed Spot Festival in Aarhus, Denmark.
Out of a total of 148 nominated artists, the jury for the Carnegie Art Award 2010 has chosen 23 Nordic artists for this year's exhibition - and for the first time since its start in 1998, women dominate. Of the 23 there are two Icelanders, Kristján Guðmundsson and Egill Snæbjörnsson.

The 19th edition of Iceland’s premier classical music event, Dark Music Days is to take place between the 6th and 13th of February. The event, which has been running since 1980, celebrates the darkest days of the Icelandic year with new music as well as music workshops in and around the Reykjavik area.
