Northern Light Confusius Institute opened in Iceland
The 16th of May a opening ceremony was held at the University of Iceland to celebrate the opening of the Northern Light Confusius Institute.
Dr. Ingjaldur Hannibalsson initiated the ceremony and many prominent individuals addressed the guests. Among them were Thorgerdur Katrin Gunnardóttir, Minister of Education in Iceland, Dr. Feifan Ye, Vice Chancellor of Ningbo University, Mr. Lei Yunxia, Charge d’Affairs of the Embassy of China in Iceland and Mr. Eiður Guðnason, Ambassador of Iceland to China 2003-2007.
On this occation the University of Iceland and Ningbo University signed an agreement on future co-operation.
