Icelandic paintings in Beijing
Four Icelandic paintings from the Embassy of Iceland in Beijing will be on display in “One World One Home”- the 3rd Exhibition of Art Works from Embassies in China, from April 11th to April 23rd. The works include a painting by Snorri Arinbjarnar on loan from Reykjavik Art Museum, but the remaining three by Kristján Davíđsson, Guđmundur Thoroddsen and Helgi Ţorgils Friđjónsson are from the personal collection of Ambassador Gunnar Snorri Gunnarsson.
The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Culture of China. It has been run twice before in Beijing, in 2001 and 2003. This year, more than 300 art works from 64 countries are showcased in Capital Museum. Ambassador Mr. Gunnar Snorri Gunnarsson attended the Opening Ceremony in Capital Museum.

Itisa greathonor to invite theRepublic ofIceland to attend"OneWorld One Home" – the 3rd Exhibition of Art Works from Foreign Embassies in China, presenting the art works by four famous Icelandic painters to the Chinese people in this Olympics year of China.
This Exhibition will be touring outside Beijing, in Lanzhou of Gansu Province, from June 28th to July 28th; and Zhengzhou l of Henan Province from September 28th to October 10th.
