Consular office opens in Vietnam
Mr. Nguyen Phu Binh, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in Vietnam appointed Mr Ha Van Tham and Mr. Nguyen Van Phuoc as honorary consular for Iceland on 20 November 2007. Ambassador of Iceland Mr. Gunnar Snorri Gunnarsson attended the ceremony that took place in the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Honorary Consular placed in Hanoy Mr. Hanoy Mr. Ha Van Tham, has been in control of the Ocean Bank in Hanoy and is also involved in numerous commercial activities. The Honorary Consular placed Ho Chi Minh City Mr. Nguyen Van Phuoc is also the representative of Marel office in Vietnam.
The Icelandic Embassy in Beijing would like to welcome the first Icelandic Honorary Consular for Vietnam and wish them all the best in their new position. We look forward to working with them.
