Second review meeting of the GPA
The Second Intergovernmental Review of the Global Programme of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environment from Land-Based Activities (GPA) that took place in Beijing, 16-20 October, was attended by representatives from Icelandic authorities. Magnus Johannesson, head of the Icelandic delegation, chaired a session on Financing the Implementation of the GPA. A report on Iceland’s National Programme of Action was introduced during this meeting. That report can soon be obtained at the home page of the Ministry for the Environment:
