Change of Ambassadors
Eiður Guðnason, who served as Iceland's Ambassador to China from January 2003 has taken up his new position as Director of Information, Cultural Affairs and Consular Liaison at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Reykjavík. His successor as Ambassador in China, Former Secretary of State Gunnar Snorri Gunnarsson arrived in Beijing 13 September and is expected to present his credentials to President Hu Jintao shortly.
