Icelandic company opens a new store in Ottawa
Located at 6-2085 Tenth Line Road in Orleans, Ottawa, the 30.000 square foot new Jysk Mega Store carries a complete selection of Jysk products. Customers will find all the furnishings they need for their home, from mattresses to towels, including linen and curtains. Duvetts and quilts are a Jysk international trademark. The furniture department will also offer a large selection of Scandinavian-style beds, tables, bookcases and seating.
“Rúmfatalagerinn” started its operation in British Columbia ten years ago and expanded with several stores throughout the West. In 2006 the first stores were opened in Ontario and now the company has plans to expand into Québec by the summer of 2007. The Icelandic manager for the Canada operation is Mr.Lúdvik G. Kristjánsson who resides in Toronto.
Ambassador of Iceland Markús Örn Antonsson and his wife Steinunn Ármannsdóttir were present for the official opening of the new Ottawa store on Saturday December 2nd.
