Canadians in Reykjavík Marathon

180 Canadian fund-raisers in Reykjavík Marathon

20.8.2006

Karen Soloman, along with A-Channel camera operator Ryan Lee, made the journey to Reykjavik, Iceland with Team Diabetes on Wednesday, August 16.

The A-Channel crew were among 20 local fundraisers who made up the Iceland Team from Ottawa. The participants took part in either a 10 km half-marathon or 42 km full-marathon. Each member raised a minimum of $6,000 to be eligible for the trip – translating into more than $100,000 raised locally for diabetes research and programs. The Ottawa contingent was joining more than 180 Team Diabetes members from across Canada in Iceland.
