Honorary Consuls of Iceland meet in Reykjavík
About 170 honorary consuls of Iceland abroad and their spouses took part in the event.
Participants were also invited to an Ice&Fire adventure as a post-congress tour, highlighted with a snowmobile ride on a glacier as well as visits to some of the most active geothermal areas in the country.

From Canada, 11 out of 13 honorary consuls made the trip to Iceland for this very special occasion.
So did also four consuls from the seven countries in Latin America that are being served by the Icelandic Embassy Ottawa.
During the stay in Iceland, Ambassador to Canada Markús Örn Antonsson and his wife Steinunn, hosted a dinner for the consuls and their wives at a location near the Ellidaár salmon river that flows through the city of Reykjavík. For some of the consuls in Canada this was the first time together with their colleagues, and the Latin American consuls were joining them for the first time.
