Commerce and Industry
The representative of the Ministries of Industry and Commerce at the Icelandic Mission to the EU administers the fields of the two Ministries in accordance with the relevant provisions of the EEA Agreement and related comitology within EFTA and EU.
To ensure successful progress the representative must:
- monitor the acquis adopted by the EU and EEA.
- establish network and communication with EFTA, ESA and EU.
- submit information and policies? of the Icelandic Government to all related organisations and officials.
- participate in the EFTA working groups and subcommittees.
- attend advisory and expert meetings at the EU Commission.
- monitor the court procedure within the EFTA Court in related fields.
- assist the Minister, officials and NGOs, and help them organise their visits to Brussels.
