Icelandic/Austrian concert in the town of Seitenstetten
On the eve of Friday the 17th of November 2006 the abbey of Seitenstetten will host a concert where guests will enjoy both Icelandic and Austrian performances. The first part of the program will boast Icelandic duets, trios and quartets and will be followed by a short break where refreshments will be provided. The second part of the program will contain performances from the operetta der Bettelstudent, Der Zieunerbaron and Die Fledermaus.
Anton Steingruber, singer and song teacher, organized this event and the artists performing will be his Icelandic students as well as Austrian singers and artists. The night’s performers will be the following: Þórunn Marínósdóttir, Edith Kalterböck, Doris Pfleger, Hlöðver Sigurðsson, Páll Jakob Líndal, Ásgeir Páll Ágústsson and Anton Steingruber. Yuri Ivamoto Schneider will be playing the harp and Manfred Schörghuber will be exhibiting photos.
