Convention on double taxation between the Republic of Iceland and the Republic of Hungary
On Wednesday, 23 November 2005, H.E. Mr. Sveinn Björnsson, accredited ambassador to the Republic of Hungary with seat in Vienna, signed the convention on double taxation between the Republic of Iceland and the Republic of Hungary. On Hungarian side the convention was signed by dr. Albert Molnár, State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Finance. Present were staff members of the Hungarian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and of the Hungarian Ministry of Finance.
The convention relates exclusively to the income-tax.
During the next months the Icelandic and the Hungarian government will ratify the convention in both states and it will hopefully entry into force on 1 January 2007.
